PREVIOUS JOURNAL ENTRY...

09/02/07: Well, once again I seem to be cooking on gas - I've managed to finish off converting the website over to the new format, and even found time to correct some formatting/html errors in the old material. Check out --Frere-Sama's Character Gallery-- , now with 100% working links! The "Gallery" section is indefinitely "Under Construction" - it's vastly easier just to direct visitors to the perfectly acceptable gallery I have up on DA (see --here-- ) than to try and figure out some way of displaying everything here, even if my host would allow me to upload so many images. The --CV/Jobs Page-- (a new addition) is still empty, but that's because I need to update my CV and decide what, exactly, I want people to hire me to do.

Well, we're coming to the end of inter-semester week, which means all the progress I've made in my personal projects is about to be derailed by the onrushing train of University work, attempting to find rented accommodation for next year, etc. I also need to get a paying job to subsidise the time I'm spending doing free articles for H20. Ah, the joys of work experience! I'm becoming better at learning to combine business and pleasure, however - my last few baking projects have been with an eye on writing future articles on "cooking for students" (with the recipes illustrated by photos of my own efforts). After the belated success of the --cookies-- , I've experimented with flapjacks and egg custard tarts. Both were very edible, though the flapjacks could have done with grease-proof paper (in the recipe, but not my cupboard) to prevent the edges from baking crisp, and I made what was in retrospect something of a flub by ad hoccing (??? - ed) a quarter-cup of ground almonds into the egg custard mix - the almonds stuck to the bottom of the pan like scrambled eggs and filled the now mid-brown egg custard with nutty black lumps. Whilst delicious, it looks distinctly vomitous (and I'm fairly sure that's not a correct use of the word - I believe only PEOPLE can be "vomitous").

... Uh. I don't actually seem to have DONE anything since my last update, and I don't really feel like continuing the gossip game with the H20 situation. It's not much of a journal entry, but it will have to do. OK then:

Until next time, signing off. Stay blessed, avoid cold iron, etc.
