FALLING AS THEY MIGHT -

The year is 1671, and the Crusades are still raging in Outremer. In France, a second Revolution is rising in the sewers below the glass skyscrapers of the City Of Light. The glowing globes lining the streets of London can no longer be replaced or repaired - no-one quite remembers how they work. Europa is threatened from all sides, and from within; since the disappearance of Israel Charlemagne, the Holy Roman Empire he built has fallen into decay, and the Pax Carolus has been replaced by the ineffectual Pax Europa Universalis.
There is reason to hope, however - in England, the supposed grandson of Charlemagne has awoken to his destiny, and now embarks on a quest across a landscape at once familiar and entirely alien. His entire being is bent on the idea that if he can only reach Vienna, a host of desperate bureaucrats will seize him and elevate him to the throne of his illustrious predecessor. It is a forlorn hope, but a hope all the same. Yet, if he should fall into the company of brigands, or become the pawn of dark forces...
Where a king sickens and dies, his land dies with him.
These are interesting times.

Falling As They Might (FATM) is a proposal for an epic fantasy animation series in three series. The property can be best described as 'anachronistic costume drama,' set in a fictional world which blends elements of countless historical eras, from Dark Age logging communities to fallen space elevators, from flintlock pistols to sports cars and helicopters. In terms of genre it is a dark morality tale with some action elements. FATM is probably my best developed setting, though Zorian Saga is a much larger project.
STATUS: As of (21/12/08), I have the completed (though now outdated) script for the first episode ("Freefall") and a section of the script for the second episode ("Childe Roland"), and am assembling a lengthy series bible, including a detailed timeline and an episode-by-episode breakdown of the series. I also have a ton of additional background material and a shedload of character sketches.

31/08/06: I told you I was cooking on gas at the moment - I've updated all the galleries so now if you click on a picture, you'll be taken to the original full-sized image file. The original images were way too big even as .png files, so I turned them back into .bmp files and used the --Mihov Image Resizer-- again to convert them into high-quality .jpgs (the ones that were originally .jpgs are, of course, unaltered).
If you want to see the original pictures in their full, uncompressed glory, I suggest you check out my gallery hosted on DA --here-- . This actually means that the full-size image files are smaller and load quicker than the page-fitted pictures, but I want to keep the pictures on the gallery pages as .pngs, as at their smaller size, even high-quality JPG compression would be really obvious and look awful. Plus, the blue borders added in by Microsoft Word would blur into the picture, which I think you will agree is not a good look.
29/08/06: I've finally finished uploading everything from my old site, and have added a load of new sketches to the character galleries for --Yisrayl-- and --Frere-Sama's-- pages. The next 'big project' is to go through each gallery page and make each picture into a link to the original full sized image file (I converted all the original .jpgs and .pngs into .bmps, resized them using --Mihov's Image Resizer-- then converted the resized file into a .png to save space).
23/04/06: Pardon my dust, I've basically just copied and pasted everything on this page from my --old site-- on --1asphost.com-- . I'll put up some new information on Falling As They Might as and when I get the time.
